Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) Classes
STEP is a child-rearing class for parents of elementary school children.
There is good news for parents juggling jobs, homework assignments and car pools.
You can meet the challenges of raising children in the year 2000 and beyond. A seven-week course held every fall, winter and spring will teach parents how to help their school children grow into responsible, loving adults.
The traditional ways of raising children are no longer effective in today's society. Parents will learn new:
- methods to deal with misbehavior.
- ways to listen and talk to their children.
- skills to encourage children.
- ways children grow and behave.
The course, called "Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP)," is sponsored by Ohio State University Extension, Medina County. The fee is $15 per individual or couple.
