  1. Pesticide License Testing

    Sep. 30, 2025 10:00am to 6:30pm

    The OSU Extension office in Medina County is a testing location for those interested in obtaining a new pesticide or fertilizer license (both commercial and private are available) or adding new categories to your existing license.  You must register with the Ohio Department of Agriculture to schedule an appointment to take the test.  Walk-Ins are not accepted.    To register for a test, date and location, you must visit the ODA website and select the date for the Medina County Location.

  2. Medina County Extension office Closed for Ag Day

    The Medina County Extension office will be closed today due to our AG Day in Medina County. The Extension office will open again on Monday, September 29th at 8:00AM and will resume normal business hours. We apologize any inconvenience this may cause.

  3. Berry Production Workshop

    Sep. 25, 2025 10:00am to 11:30am

    OSU Extension in Medina and Lorain County are teaming up to present a Berry Growing Workshop for the region.  Hosted by Baumhart Berry Farm in Vermilion Ohio, we will be HANDS-ON and ON THE FARM learning about growing small berry crops in Ohio.

  5. Canning Basics

    Sep. 11, 2025 3:00pm to 4:00pm

    Interested in learning how to can food? Join us for a presentation that will cover the basics of both water bath and pressure canning, allowing you to start preserving foods safely and effectively. You can sign up for this class at www.go.osu.edu/medinacanningbasics. Please note that the class is offered twice, but the same presentation will be covered both times so only select one date.  Cost: $10.00

    Pond School returns to Medina July 29th, 2025 Join OSU Extension Aquatic Specialist, Eugene Braig and Ohio Division of Wildlife Fisheries Manager Curtis Wagner to learn about healthy ponds, fish management, and algae remediation.
