2019 CLASS has filled.  Visit OCVN.OSU.EDU to learn about other nearby programs.  Medina will train again in 2021.

OSU Extension will again be offering Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist Training in Medina County for anyone interested in learning more about our natural environment, and who has a desire to share their new found knowledge with the public.

The OCVN program trains members of the public in areas of:  Geology, ecology, forest history, insect services, mammals and watersheds, reptiles and amphibians, birds, and more.  Once trained, OCVNs are encouraged to apply at local parks and agencies with conservation-missions to service the community, educate the public, and increase the reach and impact of these agencies statewide.

The 11 week program begins August 14 and repeats every Wednesday, from 930am -330pm through October.

Cost is $250.00 per person and includes binders, tools, speaker fees, and snacks.
