SPROUTS 4-H SPIN CLUB
SPROUTS is a 4-H Special Interest (SPIN) Club offered through Medina County 4-H youth development program and the OSU Master Gardener Volunteers. It is designed to introduce youth to the exciting world of gardening. SPIN Clubs are short-term, hands-on learning experiences that meet for a set number of sessions and focus on a specific topic (Gardening) through interactive group activities.
This 9-session series is led by certified Medina Master Gardener Volunteers also trained as 4-H volunteers. They will guide youth through the fundamentals of gardening in a fun and supportive environment. Participants will explore essential gardening principles including soils, compost, planting, seeds, pollinators and plant care. By the end of the program, students should have the knowledge and confidence to garden at home.
SPIN Clubs hope to spark interest in new activities and inspire youth to join year-round 4-H Clubs and complete 4-H projects in the future.
